Kingsclere Photo Club Safeguarding Policy
Membership of Kingsclere Photo Club is open to all. In order to provide a safe and inclusive
environment at our meetings and in our other activities, the following principles apply.
- Any member who is below the age of 18 at the time of any Club meeting or other activity must
be accompanied at all times by a parent or other responsible adult. The accompanying
person may attend meetings and other activities free of any membership or meeting fee for
this purpose. They are also welcome to become a member in their own right should they
wish.
- Any adult member who wishes to have an accompanying adult present at a Club meeting or
other activity in order to provide support may do so by prior arrangement and at the discretion
of the Chair or the Membership Secretary.
- The Committee will give due consideration to the likely needs or vulnerabilities of all current
members when arranging and overseeing the subject matter and conduct of the Club’s
meetings and other activities.
- All members are expected to conduct themselves at Club meetings and other activities with
due regard to the sensibilities of other members and of visitors, and of their enjoyment of the
activities of the Club. Persistent disregard of this expectation will result in the termination of
membership of the Club.
- Should any member have a concern in respect of the above principles, they should raise the
issue as soon as possible with the Chair or other member of the Committee who will address
the issue in a timely manner.
